Helped nearly immediately. Waited for a table rather than a booth. Busy, so frequency of check ins was lower, as would be expected. Matzo soup was very good, wonderful broth made slowly, very tasty with lots of veggies and good portion of chicken; recommend. Ordered half sandwich, should have pestered with questions because of my first time there, since I ordered a corn beef sandwich and that is all that was on the sandwich, bread and corned beef. So that was unexpected, normally I guess you ask for things to be removed but I needed to ask for the basics to be added including condiments. Fries were fine but will try the potato salad next time. Soup and sandwich were served quite a time apart, not sure why, quite a bit before anyone else was served. Cottage cheese with fruit was generous and fresh. A little pricey. We visited the bakery afterwards. I will go again but now forewarned on some misunderstandings.

Had high hopes and was really let down. I’m an east coaster so maybe I should have adjusted my expectations, but based on reviews I was excited. My Reuben had about 2tbsp of kraut on it, and the meat was so thick and chewy I couldn’t eat it. Scratched the roof of my mouth on the bread. Fries were soggy and underdone but somehow still brown, likely old oil. Green chili was too spicy to eat. The waitress asked how everything was before we took a bite, and didn’t come back until she had the check. Would have love to give them a chance to fix it had anyone asked.

Delicious! Expensive, but very high quality. I had the lox sandwich and iced coffee, and it was $26. Loved the atmosphere, and our server was a real treat - funny, dry sense of humor. Loved everything about this place!

Definitely a gotta go. Where else can you get genuine Jewish/Yiddish/NEW YORK food? Having said that, the matzo ball soup was waaay toooo salty, & the babka is probably the best you can get, comes from NY, but it was a little bit dry! Yet I’d go again and again until i tried everything on the menu!

Great place to have some fresh breakfast. The Chalal was delicious. It's definitely a must try if you live or drive by this area.
